Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Job Requirements:

1. Interacts with new and existing customers to review design intent and determine viability of projects, propose cost effective product solutions.
2. Coordinates and manages new product introductions and product improvements from concept to production.
3. Proficient in design and manufacturability of various mediums (plastic, metal, etc.).
4. Plans and directs personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and development of methods and procedures for testing products or systems. This includes performing regulatory testing.
5. Designs products and systems to interface with machines, hardware, software and other technology.
6. Provide support to manufacturing by evaluating equipment and processes.
7. Must be able to interface with customers, vendors, and manufacturing personnel in a dynamic environment.
8. Support corporate objectives related to patents, trademarks and marketing needs.
9. Assess and provide needed training opportunities for staff members

Skills/Experience Required:

1. Mechanical and electrical product design.
2. Product development and refinement.
3. Customer interaction and communication skills.
4. Experience/Knowledge with Audio/Video electronics
5. Product manufacturing experience.
6. Project management.

Education Requirements:

• 3 years’ experience in engineering and/or product development
• 4 year degree in engineering or engineering technologies
